Only One Season Left for Ernie, Kenny, Shaq & Chuck

The NBA and Amazon officially announced their new media rights deal leaving TNT on the outside looking in after years of being synonymous with the league. Dan laments the loss of their flagship program “Inside the NBA” and considers ways in which the show could continue despite TNT no longer being the home of the NBA.

Dan Patrick: “It didn’t help that TNT’s boss came out and said, ‘We don’t need the NBA.’ That’s not a good thing to say if you are desperately, you know, trying to crawl your way back, scratch your way back to say, ‘Hey, wait, wait, hold on! We want to match the deal that Amazon put forward.’ They moved forward and they moved on without them. So you get one more year of Shaq & Charles and that’s it.”
