Mo Brings Plenty is heading to Teton Ridge.

The Yellowstone star has been named American Indian cultural affairs director for the Western sports, media, lifestyle and entertainment company. The role will find him helping to oversee “authenticity, diversity and overall industry culture” across a variety of Teton Ridge properties including Cowboys & Indians Magazine , the Arizona Ridge Riders, a professional bull riding team within the PBR Teams League and Teton Ridge Entertainment, a division that produces films, series and new media projects exploring Americana and the themes, ethos and setting of the American West.

There’s been some news out of the division over the past year. In October, it was announced that eOne president of film production Jillian Share had been tapped to serve as president of Teton Ridge Entertainment. Two months later, in December 2023, Jen Gorton was hired to serve as executive vp of production and development.

In February, The Hollywood Reporter published details on a new project focused on Colossal Biosciences, the world’s first “de-extinction” company which attempts to bring extinct animals back to life. That project, a multi-year docuseries, comes from My Octopus Teacher James Reed’s Underdog Films and Teton Ridge Entertainment. The slate also includes a new take on Louis L’Amour’s novel Fallon based on a film pitch from Peter Chiarelli ( Crazy Rich Asians ), and a women’s basketball doc following Dawn Staley’s undefeated 2023/2024 season with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

For his part, Brings Plenty said he’s “truly looking forward” to joining the Teton Ridge team. “My biggest drive is to be a positive factor and help support what Teton Ridge has set out to do in shedding light on western heritage,” he said. “I look ahead to incorporating American Indian culture more into every avenue of this industry — we have a lot of cowboys and cowgirls accomplishing great things. Our culture is really parallel to the cowboy culture, so bridging those together and celebrating their stories side-by-side is my biggest goal.”

Offered Deirdre Lester, Teton Ridge CEO: “Our team is dedicated to preserving the Western lifestyle and celebrating the diverse storylines that have played a pivotal role in creating what we all know and love today. After hosting Mo at many of our events and watching him build long-standing, impactful relationships across the industry — all while educating and bringing much-needed perspective to the table — it was quite obvious that his playing a larger role was imperative in paving the way for the future of Teton Ridge and the industry at large.”

Brings Plenty has been seen on Lawmen: Bass Reeves , Dead Man’s Hand , The Contested Plains , Jurassic World: Dominion , The Good Lord Bird , The American West and House of Cards , among other films and TV shows. He’s skilled with music and drums, works closely with horses and has served in cultural roles and as a story consultant on projects in the Taylor Sheridan universe.
