FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After a property damage crash damaged the barrier in an Interstate 70 construction zone overnight, officials plan to shut down a lane of the roadway to allow crews to make repairs.

According to officials with INDOT, crews will be closing the right lane of eastbound I-70 this evening for multiple hours to make repairs following an incident.

Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse lived a life of service

Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames confirmed the crash occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. The crash caused the roadway to be shut down for approximately two hours. Sgt. Ames said no one was injured and that the incident is considered a property damage accident.
