BuzzFeed is looking back at Girls Gone Wild and the era it spawned. For nearly a decade, it seemed like Girls Gone Wild buses were descending on every spring break and college town in America.

You might remember the sound of the steel drums over footage of white, sandy beaches. Or, an announcer shouting out: “Girls Gone Wild!” Or, the ubiquitous commercials on late-night television with young girls flashing the camera. From the late 90s to the early 2000s, it seemed like commercials for Girls Gone Wild were everywhere.
