Lambert ’s current single “Wranglers” was the first taste of what’s to come on the forthcoming LP, which marks her first batch of new solo music since 2022’s Palomino. Now, fans can get even more of a flavor of the forthcoming project as Lambert released a spicy divorce anthem titled “Alimony,” alongside the album announcement.

"My parents were private investigators in Dallas, Texas who worked a ton of divorce cases in highfalutin parts of town, so this wasn’t hard to write. I’d heard about it my whole life,” Lambert said in a press release of the newly-released song. "We used every Texas metaphor we could come up with on purpose; we wanted to take something kind of s***ty and put some humor back in it. I mean, the guy gets out pretty easy if all he does is move back in with his mom.”

According to the 40-year-old Texas-native, the Lone Star State references won’t stop there and are a common theme throughout the album, which she recorded in her home state, only further inspiring her songwriting. "I made this record in Texas. I hadn't made an album in Texas since I was 18," she shared. "I went down to Arlyn Studios in Austin, and Jon Randall , who's my bestie and co-writer and co-producer, we worked together a lot."

She continued, "Just going home to Texas to make it felt really right for this new season and this new chapter. I signed with Republic Records ... and this new team has just given me so much fire and inspiration, because it's all about the music with them."
