    County asks state to maintain streets

    SMITHFIELD — Johnston County Commissioners on July 15 asked the N.C. Department of Transportation to add the following streets to its roster of state-maintained roads:

    • Pierce Landing Drive, Madden Rose Loop and Brody Pine Way in Pierce Landing subdivision in Cleveland Township.

    • Stephens Timberline View, Knotty Pine Lane and Woodworkers Way in Stephens Ridge Subdivision in Cleveland Township.

    • Portofino Drive in Portofino subdivision in Wilders Township.

    • Silverleaf Drive, Bluejack Court, Chapman Court, Overcup Court and Engelmann Court in Woodard Oaks subdivision in Wilders Township.
