Queen Letizia Channels Kate Middleton's Iconic Royal Style (And She Looks Stunning)

It’s no secret that Kate Middleton , the Princess of Wales, is a fashion icon, inspiring clothing choices around the globe. Recently, her influence seems to have reached Spain’s Queen Letizia, who was spotted donning one of Kate’s signature looks : the shirt dress.

At a recent event in Barcelona, Queen Letizia made a bold statement in a Carolina Herrera Print Crepe De Chine Shirt Dress ($1,175). The dress boast a vibrant fuchsia and white watercolor print, embodying a perfect blend of elegance and modernity. Emulating Kate’s effortless style, Letizia cuffed the sleeves and left a few buttons open at the top. The dress was cinched at the waist with a matching print belt, complemented by open-toe strappy Boss heels and dainty earrings. She completed the look with straight hair tucked neatly behind her ears, exuding a polished yet relaxed vibe.

The dress was from ME+EM, a U.K.-born brand that has garnered favor among the royals .

Kate sported an ME+EM shirt dress back in 2021 when meeting Mila, a young girl battling leukemia . This heartfelt encounter was part of Kate’s “Hold Still” photography project, an initiative with the National Portrait Gallery to document U.K. citizens' experiences during the pandemic. Kate revived the look in 2023, shortly after King Charles’s coronation , at the Chelsea Flower Show.
