Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of “Chicago Fire.”

Mulroney will appear in the NBC series’ upcoming 13th season. He will play the of Chief Dom Pascal. Mulroney joining the show comes after Eamonn Walker exited his role as a series regular in the Season 12 finale. Walker’s character, Wallace Boden, had been the head of Firehouse 51 since the show began. But in the finale, (SPOILER ALERT) he gets promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department.

The cast of the series also includes Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith, and Jocelyn Hudon.

Mulroney’s recent TV credits include “Secret Invasion,” “Hanna,” “Prodigal Son,” “The Righteous Gemstones,” and fellow first responder series “Station 19.” He is known for his roles in films like “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “August: Osage County,” and the “Scream” franchise.

    He is repped by Paradigm.

Season 13 of “Chicago Fire” will premiere on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock. Executive producers are Dick Wolf, Andrea Newman, Matt Whitney, Reza Tabrizi and Peter Jankowski. “Chicago Fire” is produced by Universal Television in association with Wolf Entertainment.

“Chicago Fire” and the other two “One Chicago” shows — “Chicago Med” and “Chicago PD” — were all renewed for new seasons back in March. NBC said at that time that the three shows are the top three Wednesday shows in total viewers and rank among the top 10 primetime entertainment shows of the season.
