Noah Lyles is entering the 2024 Paris Olympics as a gold medal hopeful for Team USA in the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay.

But during a recent interview with Track World News , the 27-year-old American track star said he would also like to compete in the 4x400 relay.

    "I am available," Lyles said.

Lyles identified who he would replace on the United State's current 4x400 relay team: Quincy Hall.

“The only reason I wouldn’t use the current U.S. champion is because I just don’t think he would be a starter,” Lyles said. “I feel like using him on the first leg would just be almost like a waste to his talent.”

“I just don’t see him getting his full capability out of the first leg,” he continued.

Hall fired back at Lyles with a stern message on social media.

"@LylesNoah I don’t bother nobody but my blocks ready anytime you feel like you can beat me in the 400 you was talking to much on my name on yo little podcast @TrackWorldNews1 I don’t do the little slick comments and remarks I line up," Hall wrote on X earlier this week.

Hall followed this post up with a video message.

"You want my spot? Then let's do something about it," Hall continued.

The Men's 100m Preliminary Round will take place on August 3.
