Liverpool youngsters Jayden Danns and Luke Chambers will be playing their football next term away from Anfield .

Danns looks set to join Plymouth Argyle, where he will be coached by former Everton and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney who was appointed as the Championship sides manager earlier this summer. Chambers meanwhile is close to following fellow Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay to Wigan Athletic in League One.

It had been reported Chambers was of interest to a number of Championship teams, but the 20-year-old looks set to rejoin Wigan, where he spent last season on loan, making 18 appearances.

Danns meanwhile shone when pressed into action for Liverpool's first team last season. The 18-year-old burst onto the scene for Liverpool last term in the cup competitions, with Danns coming on off the bench in the Carabao Cup final as the Reds claimed a dramatic 1-0 extra-time win over Chelsea.

Then in the FA Cup, Danns proved just what a deadly finisher he is, and why Liverpool are rightly so excited about his development. The teenager bagged two goals at Anfield against Southampton in a fifth-round FA Cup win.

He would likely have found himself way down the pecking order this season, and at 18, needs to play senior minutes to ensure his development does not stagnant. And who better to learn from than a former striker who has won everything there is to win at club level.

Despite having played for Liverpool's arch rivals in Everton and Manchester United, most Reds supporters would agree Rooney was one of the greatest players in Premier League history. If Danns can soak up everything he can from Rooney at Plymouth, whilst also getting minutes in the Championship, he could return to Liverpool next summer and become a headache for Slot.

And additionally, off the pitch, a move to Plymouth could aid Danns development too. Born in Liverpool, Danns will be out of his comfort zone travelling all the way down to the south coast. While the move personally might be difficult at first, and an adjustment period may be required, it could serve as the making of the young forward.
