A member of the British public found a container with “human or animal” organs at a park, prompting local police to cordon off the area while forensic scientists examined it.

Knewz.com has learned that the park where the find was made, lies adjacent to two hospitals —one of which is a pediatric facility.

The Rosehill Park in Sutton, which lies just south of the country’s capital, London , is currently off limits to the public with yellow crime scene tape barring access.

Images snapped by local outlets show policemen on guard along with a small gray tent covering the patch of ground where the organs were found.

Local officials have since released a statement saying :

“Police were called at approximately 16:30 on Wednesday, 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton containing what was described as human or animal organs inside.”

“The container has been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.”

“A scene remains in place at the location and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”

This discovery coincides with another on the opposite end of the island territory. In the historic shipbuilding municipality of Sunderland, the police recovered what they believe were the remains of a man.

The local Northumbria department released a statement saying:

“At around 10.05 AM today, we received a report of suspected human remains having been discovered on the riverbank near Wear Street in South Hylton.”

“Emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene to carry out inquiry.”

“The force said today it did not have a further update and that ‘reports of this nature can take a while to deal with.”

Yet another such discovery culminated in a murder charge after two bodies were found in two abandoned suitcases.

A Colombian man by the name of Yostin Andres Mosquera was accused of the murders of Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71.

Mosquera is believed to have killed them while staying at their home as a guest and then leaving their bodies on a nearby suspension bridge.

Police discovered the bodies, and then the blood-smeared residence of Alfonso and Longworth following a tip-off after someone had seen Mosquera acting strangely on the bridge where the bodies were found during the late night hours of July 10.

The prosecutor handling the crime, Teresa Hay, told London’s Central Criminal Court:

“When those suitcases were examined, they contained human remains.”

“Information on one of the suitcases linked it to an address on Scott’s Road in London.”

“Officers attended that address with a search warrant and discovered further human remains and what appeared to be a scene with blood.”

“In the meantime, an image taken of the man who deposited the suitcases was circulated and at 2:15 AM on July 13, Mr Mosquera was located and arrested at Bristol Temple Meads train station,” Hay said.

According to the Telegraph , Mosquera’s trial is scheduled for April 2025.
