Simone Biles, a seven-time Olympic medalist, is tied with Shannon Miller as the most decorated American gymnast in international competition. Biles, however, appears ready to crush that record at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles practiced her vault at the Bercy Arena in Paris on July 25. Her practices always earn an audience: The difficulty and risk level of her routines are unmatched. During the Yurchenko double-pike, known as the "Biles II,' she does a roundoff onto the springboard, back handsprings onto the vault, and flies into the air while performing two somersaults in a piked position.

While competing at the U.S. Olympic Team Gymnastic Trials last month, the nine-time national champion took a huge step back after the landing and still earned a 15.975, the highest score of the night.

During practice in Paris, Biles perfectly stuck the landing. USA Gymnastics posted a video of the incredible vault on social media and wrote one word in all caps, "UNREAL."

If Biles performs her vault like this in the Olympics, she will put a massive gap between herself and her fellow competitors. However, for the 27-year-old to even be back on the international stage attempting this vault is a huge win.

During the Tokyo Olympics, Biles withdrew from the team competition after suffering from "the twisties" during vault, meaning her mind and body movements were not in sync, causing her to lose track of her place in the air.

Biles, who credited weekly therapy session for her comeback to the sport, opened up about coming to terms with that fateful vault during her Netflix docuseries, "Simone Biles Rising."

"I would have rather had some big, world global meltdown some other time," she said. "But it opened up the conversation to a lot of the world. And a lot of people got the chance to be heard and be seen and to get the proper help."

"So, thank God for that vault," Biles added with a laugh.
