How John Janssen’s Relationship With Alexis Bellino Differs from Shannon Beador

It has been quite the ride for Shannon Beador when it comes to her personal relationships on and off of the Real Housewives of Orange County . She was kooky when viewers first met the Real for Real owner in 2014. Shannon lived in an organic, green home and was all about burying crystals in the foundation. She shared the same architect, builder, and designer for her previous home as Heather Dubrow once used. However, no amount of healing energy could help her marriage to David Beador stay on track. When she first joined the series, the couple had already been married for 14 years.

She was open about her marital issues and eventual divorce. She then found a new love in John Janssen . But even though everything seemed to be going well, it wasn’t. At the end of Season 17, viewers learned that the two had parted ways, and John had moved on with Alexis Bellino . Naturally, Shannon was devastated. Fans and costars have tried to compare the two relationships, and now I want to dive a bit deeper into how John has changed since his relationship with Shannon.

John Janssen wants to film with Alexis Bellino

The noticeable difference is that John seems eager to film the Real Housewives of Orange County with Alexis. Looking back on old episodes it never seemed like he wanted to interact with Shannon on camera. Most scenes showed John entering or leaving or yelling obscenities at Gina Kirschenheiter. Whenever Shannon and John were filmed together, they looked pretty miserable. He seemed to be counting her drinks, and she seemed to be worried she would chase him off. Not a great combo.

We have yet to see John make his Season 18 debut, but the day is coming. I hate to say it, but it feels like John is proud to have Alexis hanging on his arm, and he wasn’t like that with Shannon.

John Janssen smiles way more with Alexis Bellino

It could be an optical illusion or just his new set of pearly whites, but John is smiling a hell of a lot more in photos with Alexis. In every single picture, John has a mile-wide smile as he poses cozied up to the 47-year-old. Dare I say John actually looks younger? Nowadays, the 61-year-old is looking more like an early 50-year-old. I guess dating Alexis turned back time for him.

John likes Alexis’ family

With any blended family, everyone must get along. This wasn’t the case for John and Shannon. Shannon stated more than once that she didn’t get along with John’s children. Not too long ago, Shannon was caught having a massive fight with John’s daughter while out at a club. Shannon stated on Watch What Happens Live that she didn’t “have a positive relationship with John’s daughters. Unfortunately, this happens a lot with blended families.” Shannon clarified that while she did have an argument, she wasn’t kicked out.

On the flip side, John has been seen integrating himself into the Bellino clan quite well. Just recently, John supported Alexis’ oldest son at his high school graduation. John even participated in the family photo that included Jim Bellino .

Match made in heaven

Once John was away from Shannon, he seemed to morph into a whole new man. Now, I don’t want to know details about John and his anaconda, but it did strike (no pun intended) me odd at how quickly he seemed to bounce back. But this could be because his one true love is Alexis. Shannon said he moves fast, but maybe he is just happy. Evidently, they are “extremely” happy together.

Tamra Judge let slip while talking to E! that the couple “seem extremely happy, and that’s all I have to go off of.” “They’re cute together, they have fun together. They’re traveling, they’re doing all the things. Their families like each other, and he was never like that with Shannon.” Tamra went on to share that “They didn’t travel, their families didn’t like each other. So I do believe maybe two good people just don’t belong together.”

So far, it seems that John is just happier with Alexis. Only time will tell, though, if this love is for real.
