As Ice Spice drops her debut album Y2K! the rapper says she feels as though she has hit the lottery in terms of life goals and can only be grateful for the criticism -- good and bad -- that she’s about to receive.

Ice Spice released her first full-length, Y2K! , on Friday, July 26, titled as a nod to her birthday of January 1, 2000. The LP includes the rapper’s most recent releases, the Sean Paul sampled “Gimmie A Light,” as well as “Think U The S*** (Fart),” and her latest with Central Cee , “Did It First.”

Speaking with Rolling Stone in a recent cover story, Spice says she manages her long days of rehearsals and press tours by remembering a driver she once met who hid a lottery ticket when she got in the car. “It literally made me sad. I was just like, ‘F***, bro. There’s people out here wanting to win the lottery, and I feel like I won the lottery,’” she says.

“When I think about that, it really humbles me and it makes me so grateful. So when people ask me, ‘Oh, how do you deal with the hate?’ I don’t give a s***, because I won, bro. I win at life. I can only just be grateful for people talking s***, for people supporting me. Everything that comes with the territory, I can only be grateful for.”

Also in the interview, Ice says she’s still hoping to one day work with Drake , one of her major musical inspirations. “We talk, but we never really was on some bestie s***,” she says. “He’s excited for Y2K!, he told me.”

Along with the new album, Ice Spice is now on the road on her first World Tour , a 24-date trek which began in Denmark at the start of the month and will be wrapping up in Miami, FL at the end of August featuring special guests RIOTUSA and Cash Cobain as support on all North American dates.
