The Henrico County Police Division has released information about two potential vehicles that could be connected to a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred earlier this month in Eastern Henrico.

Evidence collected from the 5700 block of Nine Mile Road after the crash July 5 indicated that the vehicle involved could be either a 2012-14 silver Nissan Sentra or a 2009-2018 silver Nissan Altima.

Henrico Police believe a Nissan Altima or Sentra like these (shown in sample images) may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run July 5.

The incident, which occurred during the overnight hours, killed Howquana Kara Bugg. Police say she was likely walking on the shoulder of the road against traffic, westbound, on Nine Mile Road when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver then fled the scene, possibly heading toward Highland Springs.

The car involved in the incident should have significant damage to the front passenger side, according to police.

Anyone who may recognize a similar vehicle that could have been involved in the crash should contact Henrico Police Crash Team Investigator R. Hostetler at (804) 501-5000 or submit tips anonymously to Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
