Peacock will livestream every event of the Paris 2024 Olympics, including the opening and closing ceremonies and every Olympic basketball game .

Eckerd College artist professor and internationally renowned artist Kirk Ke Wang is one of the most cheerfully approachable yet brilliant and multitalented high-profile creators you may ever meet. Here are some past interview excerpts from the Tampa Bay artist currently co-headlining the "Skyway," exhibition .

Where were you born and what drives you? "Shanghai. ...My work 'Yes and No' deals with the dichotomy of the opposites in my life.”

Why Betty Boop as a subject? “Sometimes in our society we appreciate women and talk about gender equality, but in reality it’s just like Betty Boops in the jar ,” Wang says. “They’re nice to look at, but the lid is closed on them.”

Who inspired the "Chained Bird"? Artist Ai Wei Wei . "I'm optimistic he will be released," Wang said of the popular contemporary artist during our 2015 interview . (Since then, Ai has been freed from house arrest by Chinese authorities and lives in Europe.)
