One woman's attempts to add a little bit of character to her kitchen are turning her space into something right off of the silver screen. And while we think this look is absolutely adorable, it's giving us a mix of mystical and cottage core vibes that we don't actually hate.

Take a look at how one TikToker's attempts to update her kitchen have turned it into something straight out of the film Practical Magic .

A few of my favorite ways that I added some charm to our white kitchen 🥰 Add in some dark green velvet curtains, dark wood furniture, a few vintage chandeliers and oriental rugs and this is where i’m currently at 🤍 #fyp #foryoupage #cottagecore #cottagecoreaesthetic #frenchcountrydecor #shabbychic #kitchendecor #homedecor #diyhomedecor #practicalmagic #witchyvibes #whitekitchen #whimsicaldecor #ournhhome #girlswhodiy

We can definitely see someone whipping up some late night margheritas in this kitchen, which @ourhhome has tirelessly been working to update since she moved in.

If you take a look at all the features she's added, most of them seem designed to create an aesthetic that is the perfect mix of vintage and chic, giving us some seriously big throwback vibes and making us think of our own grandmother's kitchen.

She's done some really cool things with the space, including turning one of her cabinets into open shelving for her plates (we're taking notes on that one) as well as adding some little touches that totally transform the place (we're looking at you, little cherub face).

That's not to say she's doing too much though. Quite the contrary, all of the business of the room actually works because she's very thoughtfully laid out her decor in a way that highlights it instead of making it feel cluttered.

We actually may try something like this in our own home!

Maximalist Trends Are Making a Comeback

When it comes to the millennial greige and minimalist styles that so many of us have be leaning towards over the years, it should come as no surprise that some people are pushing back and going in the complete opposite direction.

Whether it's because they've grown tired of keeping everything so clear and empty, or because a lot of people have entered a phase of their lives where they don't feel like they have to (or want to) keep up with trends remains to be seen, but at least in this one Milwaukee home maximalist is alive and well.

Just look through the tour of this space , which features a lot of colors and accessories that make the home look totally unique. You can tell whoever owned this place is a creative person, and they took so much time and care to make this house a home.

    Woman's Kitchen Exudes Charm

As for the OP's setup, we're really digging the vibe and they way she chose to throw everything together. Hopefully we'll start seeing more of the styled spaces in the future, especially as trends continue to change more toward sustainable decor and thrifted finds !
