Back to school season is fast approaching, but there's still plenty of time to hop on those early DIY projects. Whether you're a crafty parent or just looking to jazz up those first-day-of-school photos, TikTok creator Rachael Clark has you covered with some adorable DIY photo props. And the best part? You can get everything you need at Dollar Tree, making these props both cute and budget-friendly.

If you're on the hunt for the cutest back-to-school picture props , then you're in luck. Rachael's video shows us how to make a giant sheet of paper and an oversized pencil using only Dollar Tree items. It's an art project so simple yet so effective, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it sooner.

First up, here's what you'll need to grab from your local Dollar Tree . Pick up two giant yellow poster boards, a white poster board, a thick foam board of the same size, a pool noodle, some paint in gray, tan, pink, and black, a pack of sticker letters, and some red and blue markers.

Let's start with the pencil. Your first task is to cut the pool noodle to the length of your poster board. Once you've done that, wrap the noodle in yellow poster board and tape it securely. Rachael doesn't bother with glue here; tape works just fine. Now, paint the uncovered end of the pool noodle pink to represent the eraser.

For the tip of the pencil, cut a rounded shape out of one end of the white poster board. Fold this into a cone and hot glue it in place, then trim the edge to give it that ragged, used-pencil look. Don't forget to cut another small sheet of white poster board to wrap around the part where the pencil meets the 'eraser'. After everything is hot glued into place, it's time to get painting.

Paint the bottom white piece above the eraser silver, add some tan to the body of the pencil, and finish the tip in black. Lastly, use the sticker letters to write your kiddo's name or grade for that personal touch.

Now, let's move on to the giant sheet of paper. This one's a bit simpler but just as fun. Grab your foam board and those red and blue markers. Using the blue marker, draw a horizontal line about three inches down from the top. Then repeat this process, spacing each line two inches apart until you reach the end of the 'page'. Next, take your red marker and draw a vertical line about two inches in from the left side.

To create the binder holes, trace three rings on the left side using a tape roll or small bowl, ensuring they overlap the red line. Cut these out, and voila! You've got yourself a giant sheet of paper. Customize it with any notes or back-to-school slogans you like, and you're all set for those adorable first-day photos.
