On a recent podcast, Ibou of WrestlePurists reported that CM Punk was trying to get his contract restructured, and it sounded like he was looking for more money and added years. Additionally, it was noted he saw himself as the long-term head of NXT, which likely came as news to Shawn Michaels. However, with this report spreading across social media, the 45-year-old WWE star has shared a quote from rapper Ice T via his Instagram Stories, seemingly denying these “ false accusations. “

While Punk clearly didn’t expand on this speculation, PWInsider.com has since reported that genuine new contracts are ongoing. However, it was  WWE who initiated these talks despite Punk signing a three-year deal when he returned to the company. And while it seems odd that the WWE would want to extend a deal when there are still years remaining, the report states that under TKO, it is a “ new world. “
