Rescue Pit Bull's Bashful Face As Mom Compliments His Dino PJs Is So Sweet

Our dogs live for our compliments and praise, truly. Nothing makes them happier than feeling like they've satisfied us, which is what makes training dogs as easy as it is: we count on their desire to please us.

One rescued Pit Bull couldn't be further from the kennel these days. Recently, his mom treated him to a new set of sweet dinosaur pajamas, and he loved them. What he must have loved more, though, was the way she showers him with compliments. You can just see it in his face:

The Real Hondo Rondo may look like a tough guy on the outside, but really, he's just a handsome boy in some dino jammies. I just know that his pajama collection will be growing from here!

Putting dogs in pajamas is one of life's simplest pleasures, and something that Hondo is only just learning. Until now, he hasn't really worn clothes, but he has always been handsome regardless! He's an LA-based pup, and he loves treats, toys, and lots of compliments from everyone around him. In a follow-up video, his mom showed off that he really does love his pajamas!

Hondo definitely has a little bit of "scary dog privilege" on his side; he's been seen defending his mom from a lot of scary things. For example, there were a couple of treats in her hand that he just knew he had to get rid of with haste. In another video, there was a watermelon on the counter, which was obviously evil...

Dogs Can Learn to Love Clothes

Hondo is just one example of a pup who loves clothes, and his mom is giving us all a perfect example of how to treat a dog that's wearing clothes. If it's their first time, you should praise them heavily and you can even reward them with treats if you want to. If you want to give your dog the best possible chance of loving clothes, you should:

1. Pick well-fitted outfits by specific measurements, not generic sizing suggestions.
2. Start slow with clothes that only cover one set of legs.
3. Go for something that doesn't have a hood at first and work up to hooded outfits.
4. Choose a breathable, stretchy material that won't make them feel constricted.
5. Try it on yourself first. It's silly, but it really does help them feel better sometimes!

Many say you should start dogs wearing clothes from a young age, and while that's certainly ideal, it's also not realistic all the time. Even rescues can learn to love clothes just like Hondo does, as long as you take it slow. Personally, I believe that every dog in the world should have some dino PJs to match his. I'm about to go sniff some out!
