Documents show plans for Warrick County sports complex

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Applications submitted to the Warrick County Board of Zoning Appeals show a vision for a large sports complex and family entertainment center along Epworth Road. The proposed facilities would be situated on the east side of Epworth, between Vann Road to the south and Oak Grove Road to the north, on 72 acres of farmland.

The Warrick County Redevelopment Commission is proposing a large sports complex north of Vann Road. The application, discussed during a July 22 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, says the complex will feature full size basketball courts, which can convert to volleyball courts. Some hard surface courts can also transition to turf fields for a variety of sports. Documents also say the venue could convert to an open space to host large events.

The second application, submitted by Oakwood Holdings, LLC through Jordan Aigner of Jerry Aigner Construction, shows plans for a golf and family entertainment center just south of Oak Grove. The application says it will be used for short and long game golfing, including a driving range, but no other details are available as these plans are in the very beginning stages.

There is no timeline on when these plans could be finalized, or when potential construction could begin.
