    63-year-old man killed in Thursday morning crash in Marathon County town of Ringle

    RINGLE − A 63-year-old man is dead following a crash late Thursday morning in Marathon County.

    At 11:04 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a traffic crash near the intersection of State 29 and Silk Road in Ringle, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Office. The name of the 63-year-old man who was killed is being withheld. No one else was injured in the crash, according to the department.

    Officials closed the westbound lanes of State 29, between Marathon County Y and Marathon County Q, following the crash. They remained closed for 11 hours, reopening shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

    The Marathon County Crash Reconstruction team is investigating the crash. Officials have not said how many vehicles were involved.
