A bridesmaid experienced a "Love Actually" plot twist in real life, revealing how she was bombarded with texts from her friend's fiance confessing his love for her just days before the wedding . The anonymous woman shared her turmoil after receiving messages from the smitten groom-to-be who had been harboring feelings for her for months, yet felt trapped about what to do.

In a dramatic revelation to the Girls Overheard Podcast, the bridesmaid read out the shocking texts where the man poured out his heart, saying he'd adored her "from afar" and didn't know how to handle his emotions.

She described the gut-wrenching experience of standing by as he married her friend, all while holding onto the explosive secret that he had declared his "undying love " for her.

The hosts were left in disbelief as the bridesmaid recounted the ordeal: "What he wrote in the texts is some of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me although obviously highly inappropriate."

"He's loved me from afar for months and has never known what to do about it."

She added, "This was two days before his wedding to my friend which I was a bridesmaid at. I had to stand there as they exchanged vows.", reports the Mirror .

"As they asked if anyone objected my insides were screaming but I just couldn't say anything, especially after they let everyone know they're pregnant at the wedding ."

Drawing a comparison to the classic romantic comedy "Love Actually," in which best man Mark confesses his unrequited love for Juliet, a newly wedded friend, the hosts described their conundrum. However, some listeners disagreed with this comparison.

One person commented: "Have they seen Love Actually? The one-sided love was coming from someone with no partner and never intended to tell before getting caught."

Another suggested that his confession may be a mere distraction from his own imminent responsibilities, stating it was "probably just a fantasy version of her in his head to distract from the issues in his own relationship and responsibility of becoming a father."

Although there were views supporting her decision to remain silent, there were equally many voices suggesting she should have divulged the truth prior to the wedding . A third listener wrote: "Nah that's savage that she let her marry him! I had to tell a girl that she was being cheated on and I didn't even know her. Not telling a friend is cruel."
