It’s not news the Royal Family is in turmoil.

King Charles and Kate Middleton are battling cancer, Princess Anne is fighting to recover her memory after apparently being kicked in the head by a horse, Prince Harry is continuing to wage war on The Firm from his $14 million US mansion and Prince Andrew is still in hiding, (not) sweating over the fallout from his links to billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein .

And, according to one royal admirer, the trouble has – literally – got the late Queen Elizabeth turning in her grave.

A royal fan passed RadarOnline.com two snaps they say capturef Her Majesty’s ghost stalking the inside of Windsor Castle – clutching one of her trademark Launer ‘Twisted Rope’ handbags and wearing a “worried” expression on her face.

We were passed the images from an amateur photographer who says he shot the images during a tour of the late royal’s former home, which opens to the public throughout the year – and was one of her favorite residences.

They insist they spotted a white “flash” in their lens while photographing the lavish innards of the castle.

When they looked back at their snaps, they were “stunned” when they saw what they now believe is the Queen’s ghoul storming through one of its stately rooms.

The visitor – who does not want to be named due to the nature of the job and over fear of ridicule and being bothered by ghost hunters and “afterlife cynics” – said: “I’m not a believer in anything beyond the grave, but I don’t think there’s any arguing with these images."

After seeing them, it’s hard not to believe in an afterlife.

“I am fully aware people will say this could be a trick of the lens or a light flash or whatever, but I’ve looked into it and it’s highly unlikely the form in my image is any of that. It’s clearly the Queen’s spirit, and she looks so unsettled – you can tell by the expression on her ‘face’. She looks like she’s in limbo and lost."

Queen Elizabeth believed in the afterlife – and thought she saw her dead mother at Windsor Castle. MEGA

“I’m a royalist and it was sad for me to think she is wandering around forever dressed in one of the outfits she used to wear on state visits – you can see she’s got the old handbag, coat and hat. I’m stunned I captured this."

"And it’s no wonder she’s troubled – look at the mess her family is in. She used to be the glue that held that institution together, and she now looks tortured over what is happening to it.”

The photos will no doubt be branded trickery by doubters – but Queen Elizabeth was a firm believer in the afterlife and a string of royals claim to have been haunted at royal residences.

It’s been reported Liz and her sister Princess Margaret saw a ghoul at Windsor Castle which was believed to be their mum Elizabeth I.

It is thought the best place for others to encounter the spirit of Queen Elizabeth II – who died in 2022 aged 101 – is by waiting in Windsor Castle's library.

Visit Britain claims: “The Queen’s footsteps can be heard on the bare floorboards, before her striking presence appears.”

Windsor Castle is said to be the most haunted royal residence. MEGA

It’s long been said Windsor Castle is the “ most haunted ” of all the current and former royal homes, with more than 25 reported sightings of ghosts and spirits including King Henry VIII and King George III.

The Royal Family’s 954-year-old Berkshire residence has had more than 25 reported sightings of ghosts and spirits at the 952-year-old castle.

There are stories stretching from sights of ghosts with limps to the spirits of saluting soldiers and apparitions of bones clattering around.

A string of witnesses have come forward to claim they have seen King George III him at the home, with one report stating he “is seen peering from the window in the room where he was often detained”.

There have also been reports of seeing him in one of the bedrooms.

Henry VIII is believed to haunt the deanery cloisters, where his groans and dragging footsteps have been heard.

Windsor Castle is the largest of the late Queen Elizabeth’s homes with a total of 1,000 rooms. She and her late husband Prince Philip isolated at the property during the coronavirus pandemic.

But before his death aged 99 on April 9, Elizabeth – who died on September 8, 2022 – had left for various other residences including the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and Buckingham Palace .
