In a successful attempt to bring a new sound to fans, Scotty McCreery and Zach Top performed "Watermelon Crawl," Tracy Byrd's 1994 hit. Byrd's style has been described as being a "perfect balance of good-old-boy, hell-raising anthems and tender balladry," and McCreery and Top used that legacy to their advantage.

In the Facebook video that was released of the two during their performance, their ability to put on a good show is just as rich as their voices. McCreery has a unique, deep tone that blends perfectly with Top's old-fashioned country drawl.

Fans of both singers call for an official collaboration between the two singers.

Zach Top has dedicated his career to reviving the country sound of the 90's, crediting George Strait as his muse. Scotty McCreery, on the other hand, has taken up a more modern approach to music, citing Josh Turner and Randy Travis as his "heroes."

This unique mix has really captivated fans, and the potential for a classic and upbeat country jam could be just the thing to win fans over. The two singers have a sound that have already captured interest with just one post.

Separately, the singers continue to craft their sound with new album releases and tour appearances. McCreery's new album, 'Rise & Fall' made its debut in May, containing tracks such as "Cab In a Solo" that have already reached over 13 million streams, according to Spotify.

Top also came out with a new album this year, 'Cold Beer & Country Music,' that has also reached an impressive amount of listeners on Spotify. Top's album resembles the sound he has dedicated his career to, bringing back the "hell-raiser" sound that many early country songwriters perfected.

McCreery and Top's performance of "Watermelon Crawl" may have been the song that sparked a new craving for country fans, far and wide. New and old country listeners may have a sweet gift on the way, thanks to the powerful influence of Facebook.
