This Viral Kool-Aid Pie May Be the Dessert of Summer

A delicious homemade pie is always a welcome treat, but if you hate baking in the summertime (it's just too hot), you may have given up on pies for the moment.

But you don't have to.

One viral pie recipe will have you back in your kitchen in no time—and it takes very little time to make!

Content creator @that40yearguy shared this recipe on his TikTok account and people absolutely loved the idea. He said that this recipe for Kool-Aid Pie includes only four ingredients—a pre-made pie crust, one packet of Kool-Aid, one 8-ounce tub of whipped topping and one small can of sweetened condensed milk.

To make the pie, you mix the condensed milk and the Kool-Aid in a bowl until it's well blended. Then, you add the entire container of whipped topping and mix it well. Next, spoon the mixture into the pie crust and smooth it out to make it level.

"It's so simple you can have your kids make it," he said. "If you have company coming over, this is a quick dessert to make and it don't cost that much money, either."

Once everything is in the crust, you pop it into your fridge until it's set, which should take about four hours. You can also put it in the freezer if you're short on time, which is what this video's creator did.

"Listen, after 20 minutes, I just couldn't help myself. I've just gotta try it," he said. He doesn't even slice it, preferring to just dig in with a spoon.

"Wow! Man! This is so good," he says. His face is absolutely priceless and has us sold! This is one dessert we have to make.

In the comments section under his video, people said you can use any flavor of Kool-Aid you want and you can dress up the pie with cherries, lemon wedges, chocolate drizzle and more.

"Use the strawberry Kool-Aid and put some strawberries in it . It's amazing," one person said.

"Kool-Aid Pie is amazing. My favorite is the black cherry with Oreo crust. You should try it," another said. We definitely have to give that one a try!

This is one of those desserts with many great variations, so you can experiment all summer long without ever having to turn on your oven. How sweet is that?
