BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – A judge has ordered a local woman held without bond on an open count of murder. She’s accused of brutally killing her mother.

37-year-old Tiffany Braddock allegedly stabbed her mother to death in the Hiland Park home the two shared.

Bay County Sheriff’s deputies say they received calls about a disoriented woman walking along Highway 231 near Transmitter Road.

When police responded they said they found Braddock, who told them her mother had been killed.

Other deputies performed a welfare check at the Braddock’s home. That’s when they found 73-year-old Elizabeth Baraddock’s body. She’d been stabbed to death.

Apparently, the killing happened on Monday.

Tiffany Braddock allegedly confessed to the murder, claiming her mother was abusive towards her.

A grand jury will determine what degree of murder she’ll face. Braddock’s next court date is scheduled for September 4.
