Kennedy football sends pair to Shrine All-Star game

Recent Kennedy High School graduates Isaac Berning and Elijah Traeger will compete in the 72nd annual Oregon East-West Shrine All-Star Game on Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m. at Baker High School.

The two former first-team all-league selections will suit up for the West team. Although wildfires are currently active in Baker County and nearby Malheur County, the competition is still slated to continue, with the organization confirming scheduled events on Facebook Thursday morning, emphasizing that heat and smoke protocols will be enforced if needed.

Berning and Traeger will enjoy three days filled with festivities, highlighted by a BBQ dinner, community parade, a silent and live auction, a pageant, and, of course, the main event football game.

The game will be live-streamed by the EOA TV Network, notably on their YouTube and Facebook pages.
