Observations from the Giants’ training camp practice on Thursday.

    Up, up & away

In a one-on-one drill featuring the wide receivers and defensive backs, rookie Malik Nabers leaped into the air, twisted his body, reached back and made an outrageous back-shoulder grab in the left corner of the end zone on Deonte Banks.

Nabers then made sure Banks knew about it by yapping at him, all in good fun.

Rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. received plenty of snaps and displayed natural hands as a pass-catcher.

Working with the first-team offense, Tracy lost the ball on a fumble, which was recovered by guard Aaron Stinnie.

Turnovers are a no-no, especially for first-year players.

The punt returners held a tennis ball in one hand and tossed the ball up in the air as they readied to catch the football.

After the football was secured, the returner then tried to catch the tennis ball, a juggling act that had mixed results.
