'Big Brother 26's First Eviction Caps Off an Epic Rivalry

It's been a wild first week of Big Brother 26 to say the least. The two-night premiere threw new powers into the game. The houseguests faced three nominees, as well as a brand-new competition on eviction night. And Angela's HoH reign became one of the most chaotic in the show's history, including an extended rant against one houseguest she eventually backdoored.

Matt came into the house feeling like he was solid in every facet of the game. But he was soon thrown for a loop with the presence of Angela Murray , who called him out on the first night of the possibility of getting into a showmance. That didn't break his stride, though, as Matt began to scheme, holding up court in the storage room while he entertained (and outed) multiple alliances. When he tried to smooth things over with Angela, things went further south, as he warned her, if she nominated him, he would either win the AI Arena competition, or have the votes to stay. Angela perceived his warning to her as a threat, and her thoughts culminated in an epic tirade against him one morning, which put Matt firmly in her crosshairs. Even after getting backdoored, Matt thought that he had the house on his side, making even more alliances. Little did he know, though, that he had angered most of the house with his strategizing, and was also seen as a threat. As such, he was shocked to not only lose the AI Arena competition, but get voted out as well.
A new competition for the series, the "AI Arena" has the three nominees competing for safety from eviction. This week's challenge involved attention to detail, and Kimo ended up taking the victory, saving himself from the block.
