Work on Varina-Enon Bridge set to begin Monday

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Maintenance on the Varina-Enon Bridge, which connects Henrico County to Chesterfield County via Interstate 295, has been rescheduled to begin next week.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the work, which was scheduled to begin on Monday, July 22 , will begin on Monday, July 29. On Tuesday, July 30, the southbound right lane of I-295 will close for around six months.

The northbound right lane, which is currently closed, will reopen Thursday, Aug. 1.
