Brittney Griner returns to Europe for the first time after her 2022 ordeal in Russia. Sure enough, many are concerned about whether or not she's fine considering what she went through a couple of years ago.

The Phoenix Mercury star, however, eased all worries as she emphasized th at she feels "safe" in France.

"I'm fine. Everyone wonders what it's like for me to come back here after everything I've been through, but I feel good and safe in France, so I'm just looking forward to playing," Griner said, via AFP.

Griner is currently in Paris, France as part of the USA women's basketball team that will play in the 2024 Olympics. But it's not surprising to see some fans air their worries because the last time the center was in Europe, she was imprisoned in Russia.

For those unaware, Griner spent 10 months in Russian prison after getting arrested in February 2022 due to drug charges. She was released in December of the same year after a prisoner exchange between the USA and Russia.

By the looks of it, Griner isn't bothered by her latest trip and is focused on one thing alone: bringing gold in the Olympics.
