Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 3 recap

The episode starts with Will doing his morning job as a newspaper delivery boy. He then notices a request from the upper institute and is stunned to see the client is Elfaria. He rushes back home and asks his roommate Rusty to give him some artifacts for the quest, and he agrees.

However, upon arriving at the dungeon, he sees countless students trying to fulfill Elfaria’s request. Will decides to go deeper into the dungeon to find some better material. He saves a girl named Iris, who claims to be a fan of Elfaria and the Magia Vanders. Meanwhile, Colette attends Workner’s class, where news of Elfaria’s exploits remains the day’s focus.

One of her classmates teases her about being jealous of Elfaria due to her connection with Will. However, their conversation is broken up by Workner. Will and Iris continue their journey as Will tracks a colossal monster. They are then attacked by a Frost Rex, also known as a Dwarf Killer, due to its invulnerability to physical attacks.

However, Will is able to defeat it thanks to Rusty’s tools and experience. Episode 3 reveals that Iris is a Watcher tasked with scouting skilled people for the tower. She goes to inform the Magia Vanders about Will but must be quick to reject it. The episode ends with them deciding to go to the festival.
