To learn more about the environmental implications of taking seashells from a beach, we spoke to Dr. Britta Baechler, Associate Director of Ocean Plastics Research for Ocean Conservancy and a scientist who has studied the impacts of microplastic pollution on shellfish along the Pacific coast.
