Caeleb Dressel swimming schedule: How to watch USA star's events live at 2024 Olympics

The last time Dressel was on the Olympic stage, he took home five gold medals in Tokyo, bringing his career total to seven. He's hoping to add three more to his collection to make it an even 10 before he leaves Paris.

In Paris, Dressel will swim only two individual events -- 100-meter butterfly and 50-meter freestyle -- as opposed to the three he swam in Tokyo. Dressel will also compete on the 4x100-meter freestyle relay team. His most demanding day in France will be on August 2, when he'll swim both the heats and semis of the 100m fly, as well as the finals of the 50m freestyle.

He won both of the individual events at last month's U.S. Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, a sign that he was indeed "back" and that coming away with more gold isn't out of the question despite an extended hiatus.

Caeleb Dressel swimming events at Paris Olympics

Dressel comes in with the pressure of being the defending champ in the 50m free and the 100m fly. He looked well-equipped to get the job done in Indy when he won the 100m fly with a time of 50.19 seconds and the 50m free with a time of 21.41.

He'll compete in the 4x100m freestyle relay alongside Jack Alexy, Hunter Armstrong, Matt King, Ryan Held and Chris Guiliano.
