NBC is touching all bases with its coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
It has Peyton Manning, Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg on board, but the network added Alex Cooper to its stacked media team for the Summer Games.
Cooper, the host and executive producer of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, joined the NBC broadcast team in April 2024. Unlike the aforementioned celebrities, Cooper will bring her own media element to the Olympics. She won't be working directly with Manning, Clark, Snoop Dogg, or any of the other celebrities on board.

Why is Alex Cooper at the Olympics?
Cooper will host live interactive watch parties at the 2024 Paris Olympics as a part of NBC's coverage. The watch parties are called "Watch with Alex Cooper" and can be streamed on Peacock.
Cooper will have guests featured on the show to watch the Olympics and answer real-time questions from the audience.
"As a former athlete, the chance to cheer on the world’s greatest athletes at the Olympics is beyond thrilling," Cooper said in a press release . "I am so excited to be partnering with NBC and Peacock to present this interactive watch-party format for the first time from the Olympics."

The first edition of "Watch with Alex Cooper" will debut on Sunday, July 28 at 3 p.m. ET when the U.S. women's soccer team takes on Germany in the group stage. Her second episode will air on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the women's gymnastics all-around event.
Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC's Olympic productions, announced that Cooper would be joining the network's team in April 2024. She seems just as excited as many of Cooper's fans are.
"I can’t wait to find out what it’s like to watch the Olympics with the incomparable Alex Cooper,” Solomon said in a press release . "She has attracted a fanatical audience by being unapologetically fun and original, and she has been a vocal supporter of women’s sports and female empowerment.
"Alex is the perfect host for this interactive Olympics viewing experience on Peacock. Watch with Alex Cooper is designed to put the viewer in the room with her and her friends as they watch the athletes of Team USA take on the world. It should be a blast!"

Was Alex Cooper an athlete?
Cooper is a former Boston University athlete on the women's soccer team.
She played three years as a midfielder from 2013-2015, winning the Patriot League title in each of her seasons. She played in 49 career games, starting six. She had one goal and one assist.
Boston University finished 13-6-3 in Cooper's final season, losing to Penn State in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
