The Harris campaign released a one-minute video entitled “ Endorsement ” featuring a phone call, during which the Obamas gave their support to Harris.

“We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” Obama said in the video.

Harris responded, “Oh my goodness, Michelle, Barack, this means so much to me.”

“I am looking forward to doing this with the two of you, Doug and I both,” she said, referring to the second gentleman. “The words you have spoken and the friendship you have given over all these years mean more than I can express so thank you both, it means so much. And, we’re going to have some fun with this too, aren’t we?”

Harris on Sunday said she would seek the nomination after President Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed her. “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala: I am proud of you. This is going to be historic,” Michelle Obama said in the video.

Harris has secured enough delegates to win the Democratic nomination has raised $126 million as of Tuesday evening. The Harris campaign is launching a Weekend of Action on Friday to mark 100 days until Election Day, which will include the over 170,000 volunteers and 2,300 events across battleground states campaigning for Harris.
