Quite a few area restaurants have specials on National Chicken Wing Day, which is July 29.
P.J. Whelihan's, with 24 locations across South Jersey and Pennsylvania, is offering guests a free five-piece wing order on July 29. The offer is available for dine-in only, with a minimum $10 purchase and a limit of one per check.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate National Chicken Wing Day with our loyal customers, and invite new ones to come see why PJs wings have been a fan favorite for decades,” Jessica Breslow, the chain's CEO, said in a press release.

Applebee’s
Order America’s Favorite boneless wings (10 pieces) or Classic bone-in wings (9 pieces), and you’ll get another order of wings free.
bb.q Chicken
On July 29-30, bb.q Chicken customers who use the new loyalty app program, bb.q Rewards , will receive a 20 percent discount (up to a $15 maximum) for orders placed online or through the app. Customers can use the code WINGDAY24 for online and app orders to receive the discount.
Buffalo Wild Wings
This chain has has a deal through Aug. 13 for Buffalo Wild Wings Go. You can add six free traditional or boneless wings to your $10-plus takeout or delivery order. Use promo code GOWINGS.
Hooters
On July 29, get 10 free wings, any style, when you buy 10 wings, any style. The offer is valid only at participating locations and is for dine-in only. It is not valid with any other discounts.
Popeyes
Through Aug. 4, Popeyes Rewards members can buy a six-piece order of bone-in or boneless wings and get a second order for $1 at participating locations.
The offer is available via Popeyes’ website or app for dine-in, pick-up or Popeyes delivery.
