    Watching the Paris Olympics? We've got you covered

    Stretch out your TV remote hand and squat onto a comfy seat because it's time to go for gold. The Paris Olympics begin today.

    • You might be overwhelmed with the prospect of keeping up with over 329 events across 39 sports over the next 16 days. We're here to help.

    Opening ceremonies: The Olympics officially kick off today at 1:30pm EST, with the opening ceremonies along the River Seine in Paris. Tens of thousands of athletes and performers will cruise along the river to the Eiffel Tower aboard nearly 90 boats.

    • Telemundo will provide Spanish-language daytime coverage.
    • NBC will replay the ceremonies at 7:30pm.

    Yes, but: The games have already begun, with soccer and rugby matches taking place earlier this week.

    The intrigue: More than 40 Team USA athletes are from the sunshine state, including household names Bam Adebayo and Coco Gauff.

    How to watch: NBC is leading Olympics TV coverage, along with Telemundo, USA Network, E!, CNBC, GOLF Channel and Universo. ( See NBC's full TV broadcast and streaming plan. )

    • You can also stream the games on Peacock, DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu+Live TV and Sling.
    • NBC will provide at least nine hours of daytime Olympics coverage every day.
    • Paris is six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, so you can catch up each evening with NBC's daily Primetime in Paris program.

    What to watch: You can see the full Olympics TV schedule here , but here are some of the most anticipated events.

    • LeBron James and Team USA's men's basketball team open play against Nikola Jokic and Serbia on Sunday at 11:15am ET on NBC.
    • A'ja Wilson and the women's U.S. basketball team open play versus Japan Monday at 3pm on USA Network.
    • Simon Biles and Team USA's women's gymnastics team will go through the qualifying round on Sunday to hopefully make the women's team final Tuesday at 12:15pm on NBC.
    • US swimmer Katie Ledecky will kick off her games at 2:30pm Saturday with the women's 400m freestyle on NBC.
    • In track and field, U.S. sprinters Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles are racing in their respective 100m runs. The women's final is Aug. 3, and the men's final is Aug. 4.
    • Beach volleyball matches will be played at the foot of the Eiffel Tower with the preliminary phases beginning Saturday.
