USA Gymnastics Plays Down Concerning Announcement Surrounding Simone Biles And Team

USA Gymnastics announced on Thursday morning that coach Brian Carey had been hit by a bug. This forced him to miss the day's podium training, which fortunately went exceptionally well for Simone Biles and the rest of the team.

Be that as it may, fans were left a bit concerned by this development as they worried about Carey potentially passing the virus on to the rest of the team. So much so some supporters could not help but ask COVID-related questions amid this rather mysterious development.

USA Gymnastics has not provided an update on Carey's condition, but they did play down the issue in a subsequent post on X, formerly Twitter.

USA Gymnastics decided to photoshop Carey in the bottom left corner of the official post-podium day team picture. Carey, the father and coach of Olympian Jade Carey, also had a big smile on his face.

The fans on X also made light of the situation.

"Brian in the corner lol," reacted a fan.

"Aw Jade’s dad photoshopped in 😆" read one of the comments.

"Brian in the corner FTW 😂😂" wrote a supporter.

"OMG Brian Carey 🤣" a fan wrote.

Hopefully, Carey's condition isn't serious, and he is able to rejoin the team sooner rather than later.
