    Bryan Adams to Rock India Again – Global Bulletin

    Bryan Adams is set to rock India with his “So Happy It Hurts World Tour” this December. The Canadian singer-songwriter will perform in five cities: Shillong, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, from Dec. 10-16.

    Produced by SG Live and EVA Live, the tour marks Adams’ return to India after a five-year hiatus. Fans can expect a mix of classics like “Summer of ’69,” “Everything I Do I Do It For You,” “Please Forgive Me,” “Run To You,” “18 Till I Die” and tracks from his Grammy-nominated 2022 album “So Happy It Hurts.”

    Adams said: “There’s a unique connection I feel with the Indian audience. Your passion for music is truly inspiring, and I can’t wait to perform all your favorite songs – the old ones and some new ones too. This tour is a celebration of music that has connected people across generations. Get ready to rock!”

    K-POP FIRST LOOK

    Apple TV+ has revealed a first look for “K-Pop Idols,” a six-episode documentary series set to premiere globally on Aug. 30. The show offers viewers a glimpse into the world of K-pop stardom, featuring artists Jessi , Cravity and Blackswan .

    The series follows the performers through their professional challenges and achievements, exploring the cultural and musical aspects of K-pop. It aims to showcase the artists’ dedication to their craft.

    “K-Pop Idols” is produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker’s Matador Content. Executive producers include Todd Lubin and Jack Turner, along with Jay Peterson, Bradley Cramp, Chris Kasick, Eric Yujin Kim, Sue Kim and Elise Chung.

    AUSTRALIA MEDIA STRIKES AT OLYMPIC COVERAGE

    Journalists at several of Australia’s most prominent newspapers began strike action on Friday, the first day of the Olympic Games in Paris. Members of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance trade union went ahead with a strike in favor of improvements to pay and conditions at media properties controlled by Nine Publishing, part of the Nine Media group. Papers affected include The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review. Nine reportedly paid A$305 million to acquire TV broadcasting rights to the summer Olympics.

    The company last month announced 200 job cuts in its publishing units. The unions say that they are being asked to choose between a sub-inflationary pay rise or more redundancies.

    Tencent Music Entertainment Group , China’s leading music streaming company, revealed that Chen Linlin has resigned as group VP, and will depart the company on Sept. 30, 2024. No replacement was named.
