2PM’s Ok Taecyeon & SNSD’s Seohyun To Lead New Webtoon-Based K-Drama

The popular boy band 2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon is currently in talks to lead a brand-new webtoon-based K-drama, as per Xports News. They also reported that the girl group, Girls’ Generation, aka SNSD member and actress Seohyun, is also gearing up to join the show’s cast as the female lead.

The upcoming highly intriguing K-drama will be an adaptation of the celebrated web novel, The First Night With the Duke by Hwang DoTol. Set in the premise of the Joseon dynasty, the drama will chronicle a historical tale. This news is undoubtedly exciting for fans of the two K-pop idols.

As mentioned earlier, Ok Taecyeon from 2PM and Seohyun from SNSD are in talks to team up as the central pair in an upcoming K-drama based on Hwang DoTol’s popular web novel, The First Night With the Duke. Xports News revealed the update on Friday, July 26, 2024.

The Korean drama will be a period romance fantasy series depicting a unique love story between the main pair. The original web novel The First Night With the Duke has also been published as a webtoon. In the comic, a college student somehow turns into Ripley, an extra character in a romance novel. She then goes on to enjoy all the luxuries in that world. However, from the sidelines, she also watches the main plot of the novel unveil.

But soon, her plans go array. She ends up in bed with the hero of the novel, Duke Zeronis. Now, she has to dodge the schemes of the villainess and the advances of the Duke. She also has to deal with her true feelings. The story depicts whether Ripley can keep the novel’s story on the right path and survive on her own.
