Posted on July 17, the list features both longstanding establishments as well as smaller regional joints. There were some snubs (though I may be biased) like McDonalds and Five Guys not making the list. But the biggest surprise? Chik-fil-A is no longer the head of the roost. What is the number one fast-food restaurant of 2024?

Mexican-American chain Del Taco based in Southern California earned the top spot this year. Founded in 1964, the restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, burgers, fries and shakes. Del Taco has since grown to over 600 locations across the United States.
