Fatal Shooting Incident on Chicago's South Side: Man Dropped Off at Hospital

CHICAGO, IL - A man was shot and killed Thursday night on Chicago's South Side. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South State Street in the Park Manor neighborhood.

Police reported that officers responded to Jackson Park Hospital after the victim, aged between 30-40 years, was brought in with a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was dropped off by a driver in a white car who then left the hospital premises.

The victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.

As of Friday, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting. Area 1 detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident.
