The 2024 Paris Olympics is upon us, and all eyes will be on USA gymnastics star Simone Biles.

Biles is coming off a rather unusual appearance in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she experienced what she called "the twisties," causing her to withdraw from the event.

Biles will look to redeem herself, and in a big way, as she has submitted an original skill on the uneven bars to the FIG Women’s Technical Committee.

FIG gave an official description of this new move.

"The new skill is a clear hip circle forward with 1.5 turns (540 degrees) to handstand, a variation of an element named for Wilhelm Weiler."

This new skill was given an E difficulty value, which is scaled from A through J, with A being the easiest and J being the most difficult.

If Biles successfully completes this move without a major fault, it will be named after her, making it the sixth skill with her name on it.

Women's artistic gymnastics qualifications will begin on Sunday, July 28, at 3:30 a.m. ET. The women's uneven bar finals will be on Tuesday, July 30, at 12:15 p.m. ET. Biles will have to qualify on Sunday for a chance for gold on Tuesday.
