WH AT WE ARE TRACKING: Temperatures will remain around average to start the week given extra cloud cover from showers and thunderstorms expected through Monday. The hot temps will bounce back and return Tuesday, l ingering for much of the week.

NEXT 24 HRS: As of Saturday afternoon, temperatures have risen into the upper-80s for the northern half of our area, leaving a few folks south of I-90 to linger in the mid-80s. Feels like temperatures are around 5 degrees warmer, putting much of the area near or above 90 degrees. We should get a small break from these hot temperatures fo r Sunday and Monday as abundant cloud cover and rai n chances will keep us around average (mid-80s). Isolated showers are still expected Sunday evening, primarily in Wisconsin counties south of I-90.

LOOKING AHEAD: Our main chance of thunderstorms comes in the overnight hours Sunday, transitioning into Monday morning. Scattered thunderstorms look to develop in southern Minnesota after 4 am Monday morning with more widespread showers entering Wisconsin by 6 to 8 am. Timing and location is still subject to change; however, most of the area is expected to see showers sometime Monday morning. A chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms remain though most of Monday. By T uesday, h igh temperatures will jump back to the upper-80s and low-90s for most of the week. These warm temperatures will be paired with high dew points in the low-70s, causing feels like temps to stretch well into the mid-90s. Wednesday and Thursday hold the next chance for rain with a 30-40 % chance.
