Gina Kirschenheiter ‘Shocked’ When Shannon Beador Apologized After DUI

Shannon Beador has been attempting to rise from her demise during this season of Real Housewives of Orange County . She’s coming off of a horrible DUI accident and public breakup and has to play nice with her ex’s new woman Alexis Bellino . Shannon has been holding her head high despite it all, and seemingly ready to make amends for her mistakes.

Shannon and Gina Kirschenheiter have a rocky past on RHOC. They haven’t always gotten along for one reason or another throughout their Real Housewives journey together. Their relationship took a dark turn when Shannon insinuated that Gina almost lost her kids to Child Protective Services after her DUI. Now that Shannon has some first-hand experience to relate, she apologized to Gina for her actions. Despite the hurt, Gina appeared on Watch What Happens Live to express her gratitude for Shannon’s apology.

Gina’s next chapter with Shannon

During her WWHL appearance, a fan asked Gina, through Andy Cohen , to rate on a scale from 1-10 how shocked she was by Shannon’s apology. “Fifteen,” Gina said. “I was shocked.” To be honest, we all were a little surprised, but it was definitely the right move.

Gina was expecting an apology from Shannon, especially at the time she initiated the conversation. “She was dealing with a lot already, just being there and existing with Alexis ,” Gina recalled. “It meant even more to me that she chose to carve out a space for that there.” Hopefully, this means smoother seas are ahead in Gina and Shannon’s relationship. Based on their track record, we won’t get our hopes up too high.
