Keegan Bradley, Captain of Team USA for the Ryder Cup, has voiced his wish for Tiger Woods "to be involved" in the 2025 tournament, following the golf star's decision not to take on the role of captain .

The award-winning golfer with 15 major titles was anticipated to lead America's team into the competition at Bethpage Black Course. However, he made a surprise announcement stating that he wouldn't take over the captain role left vacant by former captain Zach Johnson, causing quite a stir among fans and pundits alike.

Under Johnson's watch, the USA saw a disappointing performance at Rome in 2023, extending their winless streak on European soil to a frustrating 30 years. Despite this, other obligations prevented Woods from accepting the captaincy position .

Now, with Bradley taking up the responsibility, all eyes are on what he can bring to Team USA's leadership as we enter a new era. With the Ryder Cup making its way back to the States, it seems Bradley is open to Woods participating, given the renowned golfer chooses to do so.

With Woods' remarkable history of being part of eight Ryder Cup teams, his experience undoubtedly adds considerable value. Speaking about including Woods in future games, Bradley stated at the 3M Open in Minnesota: "I've told Tiger that I want him to be as involved as he wants to be."

"We didn't. With the British Open going on, we're not really chatting too much about that," he said, adding that there will be a right time for discussions with his fellow golfer. "We both have a job to do and I don't want to bother Tiger with that. I think in the coming months - we're still 14 months out here, so we've got a long time."

Tiger Woods has opened up about the difficult decision he faced when offered the Team USA captaincy. During the Open, he remarked: "As for The decision was very difficult for me to make."

He explained the challenges of his current commitments: "My time has been so loaded with the Tour and everything and what we're trying to accomplish. I'm on so many different subcommittees that it just takes so much time in the day, and I'm always on calls. I told Seth (Waugh, the PGA of America retiring CEO) that I just didn't feel like I could do the job properly."

Woods further detailed his reasons: "I couldn't devote the time. I barely had enough time to do what I'm doing right now, and add in the TGL starts next year, as well as the Ryder Cup. You add all that together and then with our negotiations with the PIF, all that concurrently going on at exactly the same time, there's only so many hours in the day."
