Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - This weekend only, Highmark Stadium will be offering a different stadium experience for Western New Yorkers: A chance to hit some golf balls off the high decks.

The Upper Deck Golf experience has landed in Orchard Park, giving Bills fans and golfers this Friday, July 26 through Sunday an opportunity to hit tee shots from different vantage points around the stadium.

"We transformed the very iconic stadium into a 9-hole golf course," said Nickolaus Bonner, Senior Events Director at Upper Deck Golf in an interview with WBEN on Friday.

"Unlike a normal driving range, we actually set up different areas throughout the stadium that basically give nine separate unique shots down onto the field with different adjusted slopes, aiming at different targets, creating a really immersive golf experience. It's good for anybody who's an avid golfer, a fan of the Bills or anybody who wants to come out and have a really good time."

Upper Deck Golf since 2019 has been travelling to stadiums and ballparks all throughout the country, offering unique experience for sports fans to practice their golf swing at the home of their favorite professional sports team.

"We are about halfway through our 25-event tour this year. We just came from St. Louis and we're going to Fenway [Park] in a couple of weeks," said Bonner.

This is the first time Upper Deck Golf has come to Highmark Stadium and Bonner notes hopefully they will be invited back to let fans have the same experience in the new Highmark Stadium.

"These are going to be memories that kind of get written into the history of the stadium, which is exciting."

Getting a chance to hit a few chip shots off the 300 section of the stadium early Friday morning, it certainly is an experience many golfers and Bills fan will never forget.

Bonner notes there are still a few tee times left for this Friday and some on Saturday evening, but they are selling out fast. Tee times start at 7 a.m. ET Friday, Saturday and Sunday and go all the way to 9 p.m. ET. - click here for more details.
