In 2010, One Life To Live's Evangeline Williamson (Renee Elise Goldsberry) was taken off life support and passed away. She had lingered in a coma since 2007, when Goldsberry left the show. Her sister, Layla Williamson, and Layla's husband-to-be, Cristian Vega, had traveled to Baltimore to share the news of their engagement with Layla's mother, and they learned that Evangeline had been rehospitalized and was being kept alive by machines.
